Boise, Idaho – April 10, 2012

The John William Jackson Fund today continues its financial commitment to deserving organizations throughout Idaho with charitable grants totaling $115,000.

This is the 10th year of this annual event, which heretofore granted (from 2003 to 2011) over $238,000 to many outstanding organizations throughout Idaho.  The Fund, established in memory of John William Jackson following his death in a climbing accident in Central Asia, is dedicated to advancing academic scholarship, performing arts and outdoor sporting for Idaho youth.

“The growth of grant giving from $2700 in 2004 to $115,000 in 2012 is a credit to the generosity of the Idaho community and our expanding metal recycling partnerships (iYERP) across our state,” said Ben Blaine, President of the Fund.

“The Fund is proud to collaborate with strategic business partners who are committed to advancing academic excellence in Idaho schools; helping students understand the importance of setting high individual performance goals while developing at the same time a spirit of compassionate service in our communities,” said Bill “Action” Jackson, the Fund’s founder and Vice President-Development.
